On October 9, 2024, the Yale Office of Research Development hosted Best Practices in Grantsmanship for Large-Scale and Interdisciplinary Grants, an in-person workshop featuring Professors Steve Girvin and Liangbing Hu. The session offered reflections on applying for complex, interdisciplinary funding, including strategies for identifying opportunities, engaging with funders and program officers, and navigating the review process.
Following a panel discussion, attendees participated in a brief networking session and open Q&A. The event provided Yale faculty with valuable insight into the large-scale funding landscape and guidance for building more competitive proposals.
