Kirsten A. Hewitt, Ph.D., joined Yale’s Office of Research Development in August 2024. As a Research Development and Analytics Specialist, she works with faculty and Yale leadership to coordinate proposal development, foster collaborations, and deliver strategic insights that strengthen Yale’s research competitiveness. Kirsten brings expertise in analyzing large datasets, interpreting research and competitive intelligence, and building infrastructure to streamline workflows and support data-driven decision-making. She is passionate about solving complex problems and partnering with scientists to achieve ambitious research goals.
Before joining Yale, Kirsten was a process chemist at GSK. She earned her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and her B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, baking dairy-free treats, and spending time with her family.
